Ever since Michael Jackson died back in June, The Golden Machine has been on hiatus. This grieving, of sorts, allowed us to determine the direction of the website and its need for purpose.
This new return to blogging came about as we watched a snippet of singer Rihanna engaging in a highly emotional conversation with Diane Sawyer. She has finally grieved the brutal attack which she endured under the hands of then boyfriend Christopher Brown.
Rihanna has finally identified and actualized her purpose, which is to demonstrate that domestic violence is NOT okay under any circumstance. Her vow to leave Chris Brown alone is due to her realization that young girls are inspired by her decisions... including initially staying with her perpetrator.
