Chrisette Michele Is Back With New EPIPHANY!

We have been entranced by Chrisette Michele's voice since we heard her demo track "Your Joy".

She sang to us a few years back when we went to see her performance in Los Angeles.

This newest release is outstanding and we are sure to hear more from this bluesy bombshell voice.

"...I'm leaving"... love it.

Check out the video for "Epiphany" from her upcoming sophomore album Epiphany.

Sophia Nelson Writes Article Specifically For Rihanna

***NOTE: Please Excuse Chris Brown on this Webpage... this is strictly for the article... we do not support his hyper-masculine-temper-tantrum-driven antics.

We have been very reserved with our comments regarding the ridiculousness of Chris Brown. Yet in still, we couldn't resist posting a link to this article written for Rihanna to read.

Look out for our article on Rihanna and Brown. In the meantime, check out Sophia Nelson's article only on The Root.

Before It's Too Late For Rihanna
by Sophia Nelson

In the past few weeks, like many Americans, I have had to face the harsh reality of how tragic domestic violence can be in the lives of women. It isn’t just that I have two small nieces who look up to Rihanna and listen to her music. This is now very personal for me because last week I buried a colleague and sister friend, Patricia Ann Simmons-Kelly, who was shot by her husband while she was at church in Silver Spring, Md.

I am having a hard time shaking the image of Pat in her casket. The sad thing for the many friends and family members who spoke at her funeral was that they had no idea that her life was in any danger. Ladies at her church and women in iask, Inc., a group I founded, had no idea that behind Pat’s friendly smile, big heart and warm demeanor was a woman living with the fear and stress of a broken marriage.

Fantasia: This Generation's Greatest Singer Does Gospel!

Fantasia can sing her behind off. We would even go as far to say that Fantasia is the greatest singer of this generation.

We are in heavy anticipation of her next release.

For once, we are speechless...

(((By the way... Oprah recently announced that she has signed Fantasia to star as Celie in the upcoming film adaptation of The Color Purple The Musical. Do we sense a Jennifer Hudson-esque revival??)))

Check out her performance of "He's Done Enough" (gospel - fitting her voice).

Beyonce Is "Wonder Woman"

Beyonce released a formal statement saying that she plans to take on the challenge of legendary comic character Wonder Woman.

This should be interesting, seeing that she holds the real-life title. Beyonce's acting is getting better, but superheroins are very intricate (a la Halle Berry as Catwoman...)

In other Beyonce news, "Obsessed" (her newest thriller with Idris Elba) is scheduled for release around our birthday in April. We shall await her majesty.
